Today (31 March 2025), Mr. Atthaphon Charoenchansa, Director-General of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, revealed that the forest fire situation in the North has expanded and become more severe. From 1 October 2024 to 30 March, there were 87,249 hotspots nationwide, with 24,222 hotspots in conservation forests, a decrease of 15.71% compared to the same period in 2024. There were 26,085 hotspots in national reserve forests and another 36,942 hotspots outside forest areas.
